Who We Are

AJRC works to end mass incarceration led by the voices of the families and individuals of those directly impacted. We envision a community that centers safety, prevention of harm, and alternatives to incarceration. We work towards this vision through collaborative partnerships, agitation of the system, and encouraging education and awareness on the ways mass incarceration impacts our state. We are committed to effective solutions and fostering strong coalitions with policymakers, individuals, and community organizations to eradicate mass incarceration with the objective of fostering safer and more inclusive communities. We envision a world where incarceration is a rare occurrence, and every individual is empowered to thrive in community.
